A gift for Mom…

"Love Lilian"
Little Toots will be 15 months so Grandma is the voice to Mom this year.
The layered flowers I made with ribbons also added the ribbon on the blanket by pulling a string on one side. Brown elements are the new
Spellbinders; Parisian Accents. Pictures below is art work out of the frame.

As a KiD...

I remember the days spent with Grandpa Pete
us kids, for play...would head down Brownsmead to Uncle Al's place, walk the distance and all load into the row boat...
that leaked. We would take turns bailing and fishing for blue gale, croppie and bass.

Mom, Grandma Eileen...

Well Mom if you are seeing this…it is a early Mothers Day card!
You have raised us just as you would your flowers...

Notice the tissue in the pocket Mom...yes it is real!
Love you...Toots

I started with an idea…

Little Toots has been in diapers for 14 months now and that is a lot of BABY WIPES! I am usually thinking "recycle" and when it came time to throw out the baggie with that nice plastic lid on it...I tore it off.
I looked it over and thought...I wonder?
It was off to my studio with a IDEA!
Born again Crafter
thrifty thursdays #7
Creative Craft Challenge
Recycle
Paper Issues
Linky Party

NOW...with the results...
A holder for "MY CARD"
I went ahead and designed the top and the underside...for display purposes.
I filled in the opening with clear plastic and framed it off. If you made one with not so much detail it would be good to throw in your purse but...
beings I go all out with detailing... I had fun!
Here it is all the way opened up so you can get the just of what this recycled lid looks like.
Thank-you to my inspiration of sketches/challenges
now and in the past...I have been able to get a lot done, gain new insight, wonderful comments, followers and the push to continue with my heART!
Thanks-you all so much, Tootsie

A Grandmothers Love...

Being a grandmother, the feeling of Love for your grand children is different.

Lee and Stuart Lahtis Grandmother,
Luoto was there from the begining.
At birth she was the mid-wife and was there for the boys...
in a way only a Grandmother would know and feel.
This poem was within several that Lees mother had.

PEACE inchie...

The white dove of peace is lost in darkness

Wandering aimlessly, it drifts in the blackness

No points of light it sees as it searches for the light of Hope

But, Hope is fleeting in the darkness

Tears fall from its bright eyes of Faith

It worries about the world

It worries about life

It worries about home

Faith in the future keeps it soaring, searching.
