Pink Flamingos....

...find a home.
The story goes like this;
A group of friends have the idea that when one of them go on vacation they get the Pink Flamings in their yard while they are gone... Well I like the idea although my vacation is at my home....so...there they are....on vacation at my home.
So....when family and friends want to come see me...I will be on vacation at...My Home!

It has been 24 years living at the end of the road and dealing with dust that comes from above where it is not paved!
Well...there is hope!
Just the other day the road got paved...we are dust free!!
Thanks to the Clatsop County Public Works
WOW what a change!

Cheryl Grant Alger is a digi artist that I have been following and posting on Sassy Cheryl's Blog
Her art inspires me often and this time
I bought her original colored piece called:

Better than a thousand words, are the moments I spend with you!

This inspiration lead me to a picture of Lili and Ollie ...

...and then to create from my heart and memories...

...Ollie loved to sit on the bank, over look the acreage and ward off the deer or whatever came on his property!
I miss his greeting me at the driveway, barking at me at 5pm for dinner, waiting for the work bye-bye then running to get his blanket and so many others.

Taking on a Challenge...

…takes a bit of inter creative push.
I got a referral that I could do binding of a scrapbook, so the challenge was on.

A box of 30 pages at 12 X 17 was presented to me to, bind with a cover and backing.
A lot of ideas that were suggested, supplies to get and  a mind set on were to start...

Taking the furniture mending thread that I got from a local repair shop I proceded to bind the pages togather to start with.

Then I took some 8 ply board from ...

...I taped the spine, front and back for reinforcment. Now it was punching holes which took a bunch of elbow grease. Ply after ply I got all 20 holes punched.
Eyelets were added  to the holes for straight. I then went on to bind the front and back covers on.

For a final touch I added decorative corners. Sorry the finished book picture did not come out. It did look wonderful and I was surprised that I did it....and it is done!!

Lilian all dressed up for her cousin Eli's Birthday!
